Drug treatment courts and mental health courts create alternatives to prison for non-violent offenders who suffer from substance use disorders and other mental illnesses. As the presiding judge of Cleveland County’s Treatment Court and Wellness Court programs, I have a front-row seat in seeing people achieve sobriety and stability.
